Melanie comes to Agile Advisors by way of public accounting, internal audit, and motherhood. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from the University of Washington and her CPA license in Washington State. Her career in public accounting included time at both small and large firms, with varied experiences from being a small part of a large audit team to working one-on-one directly with managing partners. She has served all manner of clients across industries. Melanie also spent five years at a Fortune500 in compliance and audit, working closely with individuals in all parts of the organization. She is detail-oriented and process-driven, with a strong knowledge of financial reporting and an eye for process improvement. She enjoys working with startups, most especially for the opportunity to flex her problem-solving muscles and to meet new, interesting and passionate people. She strives to manage a finance group in the most efficient way possible while still meeting the often-changing needs of a rapidly growing business.

She enjoys reading, travel, golf and being outdoors. She, her husband, and their three kids have been on many amazing trips together, the most recent and memorable a road trip across the American Southwest.
